Ukuta unaoaminika kuwa ni wapili Kwa ukubwa ukiacha ule ukuta wa china ni huu ukuta uliopo nchini India. Unaambiwa ukuta huu ilikuwa na dhumuninla kutenganisha jamii ya mawar na merwar ambapo pia ilikuwa eneo la hifadhi ya wakimbizi baada ya kuwepo Kwa merwar


    Pia eneo hili lilikuwa ngome ya kuzuia zaidi ya himaya 84 
Pia ukuta huu unasemekana  ngome imejengwa kutoka katika ngome ndogondogo urefu wa futi 3500

  kwa Sasa eneo hili limetumika kama kivutio Cha watalii nchini India

A destination that is most preferable for outdoor activities such as trekking and hiking in Udaipur. Kumbhalgarh will give you all the goosebumps and challenges which every trekking would love to conquer.

A Brief History

It is said that, out of 84 fortresses defending Mewar, 32 were designed and built by Rana Kumbha. Amongst those fortresses, Kumbalgarh with 36-kilometer long wall and towers is the master piece of the monuments and landmarks in Rajasthan. Kumbalgarh has a connection with an ancient citadel dating back to the 2nd century AD which belonged to the Maurya kingdom. The purpose of Kumbhalgarh was to define the boundaries between Mewar and Marwar region which became the site of refuge for Mewar rulers.



Why Kumbalgarh is the Best Place for Trekking and Hiking?

Located among the Aravalli mountain range, Kumbhalgarh is considered as the one of the best location for trekking and hiking. In the 15th century, this place was inaccessible as the Rana Kumbha of Mewar built a strong fort overlooking the Ajmer and Marwar region. The surprising thing is the fortress was built at a 3500 feet hill. On top of this, Kumbhalgarh is en-route to the destinations such as Udaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, and Pushkar making it a popular and attractive tourist destination.

Kumbhalgarh Fort has the 2nd largest fortified wall in the world making it a true gem of India. It is known as UNESCO world heritage site which stretched up to 80 km from Udaipur city. For every trekking enthusiast, the fort is close to Kumbhalgarh wildlife sanctuary, famous for wild hogs, sloth bears, leopards, antelopes, etc. and beautiful bird species.
